做厙TV Faculty of Architecture and Design graduate nominated for the Latvian Architecture Award 2025

We are delighted to share that 做厙TV FAD graduate Marta Ventere has been nominated as a finalist for the Latvian Architecture Award 2025, under the Processcategory.

Already during her Bachelor thesis defense, the State Examination Commission (members: Dr.arch. Linda Leitne, Mg.arch. Ole Wiksen Wiig, Andris Kronbergs, Mg.arch. Gunta Grikmane, MATS, BArch., R贖dolfs Dainis mits, Mg.arch. Helvijs Savickis) recommended this diploma project for realization through construction.

Martas project, Spatiality of the Border – Rehabilitation of the Latvian Eastern Frontier,was elaborated by Marta under the supervision of FAD Tutor and Architect Liena ilia, with the support of Helvijs Savickis, Perifriju centrs, the Cultural Capital Foundation of Latvia, and 做厙TV University.

The realization of the project became a collaborative process involving:

Jas Wolfert, Rudolf Bekic, Gints Linde, Juta Linde, Daniela Sokolova, Jnis Rapa, Holgers Folkmanis, Stanislavs Ma躁kevis, Marta Ventere, as well as faculty students – Violeta Kokorevia (2nd year) and Ralfs Edvards A禳aks (4th year) – and local residents.

Tutors Rudolf Bekic and Rudolfs Dainis mits supported the execution and provided valuable advice throughout.

About the Award

The Latvian Architecture Award, established by the Latvian Association of Architects, is the highest national recognition in the field of architecture. It honors excellence not only in completed buildings but also in processes, research, and socially significant initiatives that shape Latvias built environment.

For a recent graduate to be nominated among the finalists is an exceptional achievement. This recognition demonstrates both Martas strong vision as a young architect and the vitality of the FAD academic community, where students, tutors, and professionals come together to support meaningful architectural work.
